Electric motors are reliable, clean, silent, economic and easy to maintain. Recent batteries' technology now allows a significant endurance. Electric motors fed by these batteries are equiping different aircraft : paramotors, ultralight, motorgliders, UAV and light airplanes.
Two technologies are used :
- disc type motors - direct current (DC)
- brushless motors - alternating current (AC)
ELECTRAVIA has chosen DC dis type motors, strong and reliable. They are working on industrial systems, and are given for more than 30.000 hours of operating.
An Electric Motorization for Aircraft consists of :
