INSTRUMENTATION

ELECTRAVIA has developped a monitor for the batteries with the following information :

- Batteries Discharge Indicator

- Ammeter

- Voltmeter

It's also a hourmeter.

LITHIUM - POLYMER BATTERIES

ELECTRAVIA is using two types of industrial Lithium-Polymer batteries on its aircraft : "high energy" "and "high power" :

* "High energy" cells :

- Nominal Voltage: 3,7V

- Max Voltage: 4,2V

- Energy density= 170 Wh/kg

- Capacity = 40 Ah

- Charge on 1C max

- Discharge on 1C continous (3C peak)

* "High power"cells :

- Nominal Voltage: 3,7V

- Max Voltage: 4,2V

- Energy density= 130 Wh/kg

- Capacity = 40 Ah

- Charge on 3C max

- Discharge on 5C continous (10C peak)

ELECTRAVIA has developped its own BMS (Battery Management System) and PCM (Protection Circuit Module) for its special aeronautical use.

See page : BATTERIES

One pack of 20 KOKAM cells delivers 3 kwh. Its weight is 23,5 kg.

-> ElectroTrike is flying with this pack (endurance : 30 to 45 mn). Motorglider ALATUS-ME too (endurance : more than one hour in calm weather).

On pack of 40 KOKAM cells delivers 6 kWh. Its weight is 47 kg.

-> Electra is flying with this pack (endurance : 50 mn).

Cells can be combined to obtain different packs. ELECTRAVIA also makes the boxes, light and strong.

Charger and equalizer :

The charger must be specially dedicated to batteries Li-Po (84V 35A). Equilizing is performed every 50 to 100 charge/discharge cycles depending of unbalance.

ELECTRAVIA supplies charger and equalizer.

E-MOTOR : ELECTRIC ENGINES FOR LEISURE AVIATION

p WARNING

Electric engines E-MOTOR are not certificated aircraft engines. They have not received any safety or durability testing, and conforms to no aircraft standards.

They are developped for use in experimental, uncertificated aircraft, ultralights motorgliders, paramotors, and any vehicles only in which an engine failure will not compromise safety.User assumes all risk of use, and acknowledges by his use that he knows these engines are subject to sudden stoppage.

Never fly an aircraft equipped with a such electric engine in circumstances or in areas, in weather conditions or in altitudes where you have no chance for successful landing after an engine failure.

Read very attentively the Operator’s Manual before starting the electric engine. Failure to do so may result in personal injuries including death.

ELECTRAVIA® reserves the right at any time to discontinue or change specifications, designs, features, models or equipment without incurring obligation.
